Terms of Service
The deal, in plain words.
By creating an account you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose — if something here is unclear, ask and we will explain it.
Who may use Apoile
You must be 18 or older. There are no exceptions, and the check runs in our database rather than just on the signup form.
You must be able to enter into a contract where you live, and you must not have been previously removed from Apoile.
One person, one account.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
The information on your profile should be true. Photos should be of you and recent enough to recognise you by.
What it costs
Apoile is free. There is no subscription, no paid tier and no in-app purchase. If that ever changes, existing members will be told before it does.
What you agree not to do
- Pretend to be someone else, or use another person's photos.
- Post nudity or sexually explicit images.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate or abuse anyone.
- Ask other members for money, or promote investments, cryptocurrency or any payment outside Apoile.
- Use Apoile to advertise, sell, recruit or drive traffic elsewhere.
- Solicit or offer paid sexual services.
- Do anything illegal, or arrange anything illegal.
- Scrape, copy or bulk-collect other members' information.
- Attempt to break, overload or work around the security of the service.
- Create another account to evade a block, an unmatch or a suspension.
The community guidelines set this out in more detail and form part of these terms.
Your content
Your photos and words remain yours. You give us permission to store them and display them to other members so that the service can work — nothing more. We do not licence your content to anyone else and we do not use it in advertising.
Delete something and that permission ends, other than for backups already taken, which age out on their own.
Moderation
Photos are reviewed before they appear. We may reject a photo, remove content, or suspend an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines.
We will act reasonably, and a suspension made in error can be reversed — reply to the email address you signed up with.
Meeting people is your decision
Apoile introduces people. It does not vet them beyond checking photos and acting on reports. We do not run criminal background checks and we cannot confirm anyone is who they say they are.
You are responsible for your own safety when interacting with and meeting other members. Please read the safety advice before meeting anyone for the first time.
The service as it is
Apoile is provided as it stands. We work to keep it available and working, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults, and we cannot be responsible for what other members do or say.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Everything on it goes with it.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, or that puts other members at risk.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially we will say so on the site before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Apoile afterwards means you accept the new version.
Last updated 29 July 2026. This document describes how Apoile actually operates today. It is written in plain language rather than legalese, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer — if you are operating Apoile commercially you should have it checked against the rules that apply where your members live.
